Bernard C. Pattie is a former Bar President and a highly experienced legal counselor and litigator.  Mr. Pattie handles a variety of legal matters including general litigation, the defense of tort claims, insurance, the representation of buyers and sellers in real estate transactions, corporate and LLC formation, and counseling clients on related issues.

Education: University of Virginia (B.A., 1973); T.C. Williams School of Law (J.D., 1978).

Activities:  Instructor: Real Estate, University of the Virgin Islands, 1981; St. Croix Board of Realtors Seminar, 1986. Deputy Assistant Attorney General, United States Virgin Islands, 1979-1980.

Member: Virginia State Bar; Virgin Islands (President, 1993-1994; Treasurer, 1989; Member, Board of Governors, 1992-1995; Member, Technology Committee) and American Bar Associations.

Special Agencies: Virgin Islands Insurance Commissioner's Tort Reform Committee, 1988; Commissioner, Virgin Islands Law Reform Committee, 1993-1994; Board of Directors, Territorial Public Defender, 1993-1994; Virgin Islands Medical Malpractice Review Committee, 1988-2004.
